The aim of the Indigenous Medicine Conservation
Trust is to protect the ancient traditions of indigenous peoples throughout the world by:
| the conservation of indigenous knowledge by the documentation and preservation of oral traditions, particularly
in medicine, ethnobotany and spirituality, for the posterity of future generations the establishment
of integrated health clinics within rural communities where indigenous systems of medicine can be practiced alongside the
existing healthcare system of the country the conservation of native medicinal plants; and
the conservation of land inhabited by indigenous peoples the promotion of a greater understanding
of and respect for indigenous knowledge and the natural environment, and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples, their
ancient traditions and culture
